Claudia Raquel, LCSW, LPC

LCSW – Licensed Clinical Social Worker; LPC – Licensed Professional Counselor

Why I like to serve the community as a counselor:
I see counseling as a privilege and joy of helping adults and children work through difficult relationships; overcome their trauma, anxiety, depression and recover from their abuse; feel happier, more confident, and better about themselves.  I look forward to working with you and helping you realize your individual and relationship potential. I take on a humanistic approach to therapy that seeks to help a person integrate mind and body to become one with yourself.

Reasons Why You Should Consider Working With An LPC Associate For Your Counseling Needs:

At Vann and Associates, we believe that mental health should not be a luxury item, so we make it our mission that if we are unable to assist you that we will do our best to find someone who can help you.

Affordable counseling is provided by Master degreed LPC Associates under the supervision of Lori Vann, LPC-S at our office in addition to three fully licensed counselors who are on a variety of insurance panels.

No associate session is over $75 a visit. It would be quite difficult to find a fully licensed counselor who charges less than $85 a session, for that matter, many associates at other counseling centers in Dallas and Tarrant County. are charging over $85+ a visit. Insurance companies often have high or catastrophic deductibles.  The Associates at Vann & Associates’ prices are often equal to or even less than what your co-pay would be to see a specialist on your insurance plan. Plus, your insurance will not know why you decided to come to counseling nor will you get an unpleasant surprise when they deny your visit because they do not cover certain therapies or diagnoses. By seeing an associate,  insurance does not have access to your mental health records unless you authorize it.

Be aware of what your insurance policy covers and does not cover.  Some insurance plans do not cover marital or family therapy nor do they cover some diagnoses.  In these cases, seeing an associate is a great option.

Some associates will work on weekends and many will work evenings; they set their own appointments.

Each case is supervised by a fully licensed counselor with over 20 years of experience and has a reputation in the community as providing excellent client care, so it is like you are getting 2 counselors for the price of one!

Associates receive weekly individual supervision, monthly group supervision, & case note audits to verify that clients are receiving the best ethical care possible.  If a client ever has a concern about their treatment, he/she can directly contact Ms. Vann about the situation.
