B.A. in English in Elementary Education from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY and a M.A. in Professional Counseling from Amberton University in Garland, TX.
Areas that Suzanne likes to work with: abuse, addictions, grief & loss, life transitions (graduations, retirement, deaths, births, marriage), communication skills, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, parenting skills, and trained to work with self-injury (NSSI). She assists with the Self-injury support groups that Vann Counseling offers each month. She is particularly interested in working with adults who find themselves being caregivers to their parents and also adults in retirement villages and assisted living.

Insurance Panels: Ambetter, BCBS, Cigna, United/Optum, and various EAPs; she can file out-of-network claims as Suzanne Nieves Counseling. She is interested in forming a support group for the caregivers of those who have parents transitioning into retirement, assisted living, or nursing homes.

Shelley Tedder, M.A., LPC
B.A. in Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University and Masters degree in Counseling from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
Areas that Shelley likes to work with: Abuse, trauma, domestic violence, grief & loss, communication skills, coping skills, stress management, anxiety, depression, issues that influence academic & job performance, and is trained to work with self-injury. Shelley recently completed Level 1 of Gottman Marital Training, has been trained in Texas HIPAA guidelines, trained in CBT & DBT, and has attended Ms. Vann’s 8 hours of self-injury training while leading the various groups offered at the office.
